Konecranes is strengthening its footprint in Asia with notable project achievements in 2025. A significant development includes securing a contract to supply an integrated crane system for Malaysia’s Subang Airport. This system, designed for demanding aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations, is expected to be fully installed by late 2025 or early 2026. This highlights Konecranes’ expertise in specialized industrial applications within the region.
Furthermore, Konecranes’ Q1 2025 interim report indicated a strong start to the year, with overall order intake increasing by 16.8%, and growth across all business areas, including Industrial Service, Industrial Equipment, and Port Solutions. The company also announced an upgrade to its comparable EBITA margin target, underscoring its confidence in continued profitable growth, including in key Asian markets.
