The Thai-Finnish Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) was one of the main organizers of the PISA and AI in Education – Secrets Behind Finland’s Success in Education webinar, held on February 11, 2025, in collaboration with Vision Finland, the Ministry of Education of Thailand, and the Embassy of Finland in Bangkok.
This insightful and informative event attracted significant interest, with over 500 registrations and more than 400 live participants.
The webinar brought together top experts to discuss Finland’s success in PISA assessments, innovative teaching practices, and the role of artificial intelligence in shaping the future of education.
Webinar Speakers and Key Topics
The event began with an opening speech by Outi Suojanen, Chair of TFCC’s Education Committee, who highlighted the strengths of the Finnish education system and the importance of international collaboration.
Also present at the webinar were Dr. Phichet Phophakdee, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education of Thailand, and Kristiina Kuvaja-Xanthopoulos, Ambassador of Finland to Thailand and Cambodia.
Dr. Pasi Reinikainen, an expert from Cambridge Education, explained the key factors behind Finland’s PISA success and the strategies that contribute to outstanding learning outcomes.
Arttu Linnavuori, an education expert from Eduten, spoke about the role of AI in education and how AI-powered tools can support personalized learning.

Upcoming Training Program in Bangkok
TFCC’s commitment to education development continues. The next major training event will take place in Bangkok from March 31 to April 4, 2025, at Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel, where the Enhancing Pedagogical Strategies for 21st Century Competences program will be held.
The training will be led by Dr. Pasi Reinikainen, who also participated in our webinar, sharing his expertise on Finland’s PISA success and education development. He brings extensive experience in learning strategies, critical thinking, and assessment methods.
